Biography

Mario Montero

Mario Montero was born the 20th of march of 1964, in Los Angeles California and when he was forteen years old he left California to live to Costa Rica.
He worked at a very young age in the family photographic studio, but his passion for photography and cinema, took him to work in a camara crew for the first time in the film “El Dorado”, in 1986, directed by Carlos Saura. Later on, he worked as a photographer and focus puller during 6 years and then as a cámara operator during 7 years, by prestigious directors of photography, specially in more time with José Luis Alcaine. Since 1996 until now, he works as a director of photography.
